Osseo Music in the Park event

Do you wait all winter to learn the schedule Osseo’s free Tuesday Music and Movies in the Park events? Wait no longer—the summer schedule is approved! Crowd- and kid-favorite the Teddy Bear Band kicks off the 2016 season on June 14, followed by the Classic Big Band on June 28. All concerts start at 7:00 pm. In July, The Zingrays take the stage with their 50s and 60s style on the 12th, and a high-flying double feature comes to town on the 26th with the Minnesota Raptor Center at 7:00 and the film E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial at dusk. August features acclaimed kids’ film Inside Out on the 9th and The Wizard of Oz on the 16th—costumes are encouraged! Films begin at sundown, approximately 8:30 pm. The season wraps up on August 23 with bluegrass and roots band The Barley Jacks.

New this year, local nonprofit groups are invited to sell concessions at the Tuesday events. (Interested groups should contact City Hall.) Osseo Parks & Recreation Committee members will also be on hand to collect feedback on the events, with plans to make the schedule even better in 2017.

Attendees are invited to come early to events to visit the Osseo Farmers Market from 3-7 pm, beginning July 12. Donations to support these free events are always encouraged. None of these programs would be possible without the generous support of Osseo’s businesses and residents.
