Osseo Bike Grant Classes

Osseo Bike Grant Class

Cycles for Change will host a series of Bike Grant Classes in Osseo in 2016 and 2017. At the end of three classes, participants will receive a quality refurbished bike, lock, lights, and helmet.

Please contact Nancy at nabts@ci.osseo.mn.us or 763-425-1454 with questions about the classes.

What is the Bike Grant Class?

The Bike Grant Program is for people who are interested in biking in the Osseo area, who already know how to bike, and who do not have or are in need of a quality working bicycle. This program is designed to help promote bicycling and active transportation in Osseo and Hennepin County. For 2017, a "Learn to Ride" Option for adults is being considered.

How it Works

Participants must submit an application, be accepted, and attend 3 class sessions before they receive a quality, refurbished bicycle, lock, lights, and helmet. The classes will cover bike safety and mechanics, basic bike repairs and maintenance, and bicycle safety. Participants will also “test out” their skills with a group bike ride around Osseo, using their new bikes and equipment.

You may sign up online to be notifed about 2017 classes. You can open the application in a new window with this link: https://goo.gl/forms/Ac0ScmBiDRAmrSAH2
